AbstractWeb-based applications includes all kinds of computer software applications that can be accessed over the network like internet throughout the web browsers. These enterprise applications must be developed in a browser-supported and browser-rendered programming languages to support access on the web browsers. There are many types of web applications in the world, most of the applications are for the e-commerce purposes such as online marketing, e-shopping carts, e-business and also for education purposes such as e-learning, etc. People around the world are now using the web applications for shopping online, access to the e-books such as e-libraries, in search for the records, business and management system in the companies, human resource managements, etc. For this final capstone, the development of web application will be carry out using Ruby on rails language and it is for the improvement of the CIS website of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) especially for the AIT UG program.
