AbstractThe research was conducted in order to investigate the relationship betwe en IRI and pavement distresses. There were many pavement distresses. The distresses focused on this research were the distresses that used by Ministry Of Public Works to develop SDI, i.e. Crack Area, Crack Width, Pothole and Rutting. The agency often used IRI and SDI as indicator to analyze the pavement condition. From the analysis were concluded that there was a strong relationship between IRI and SDI with Coefficient of Correlation 0,809 and R Square value 0,655. A model could be develop between IRI and SDI, i.e. Y = 2,183 + 0,109 X., where Y = IRI and X = SDI. When, the analyses were done simultaneously to all distresses, the Crack Width and Pothole significantly can be included into the model. The model is Y = 2.200 + 0,286 X1 + 0.113 X2 where Y = IRI ; X1 = Crack Width ; X1 = Pothole. However, when the analyses were done separately by each distress, it was only Pothole that significantly had a relation with IRI, with Coefficient of Correlation 0,760 and R Square 0,578. The model is Y = 3,507 + 0,095 X w here Y = IRI and X = Pothole.
