Abstract | The PVD soft soil ground improvement with and without vacuum pressure were applied in Cai Mep International Terminal in Vung Tau, Vi et Nam. The results of laboratory and field full scale tests were collected and analyzed Using vacuum pressure ranging from 63.3kPa to 73.6kPa, the surface settlement with and with out vacuum were similar. Some differnces were due to the deifference in loading ti me period. The undrained shear strengths for vacuum with vacuum pressure were larger by 1.5 to 3.8 times. Last ly, the compressibility and flow parameters were found to be longer in the field data compared laboratory data. |
