Abstract | The purpose of this study is to find the principle of properties distribution in the 3D geological model. In general, properties in a naturally fractured reservoir are governed by two main factors: Depth of occurrence and distance to a fault. The first task carried out in this study is to find the relationship between porosity and depth. To find this relationship, interpreted porosity of each well will be plotted with depth separately; most likely case will be defined. Similar relationships among the wells will be integrated into one chart. In parallel, faulted zones are also modeled to find the relationship between porosity with depth and distance to the faults. After this process, there will be two equations of porosity for each type of faults defined. These relationships between porosity with depth and distance to the faults will be integrated into the 3D geomodel to generate the property model which will be upscaled and used for reservoir simulation and history matching with well testing and production data. Feedbacks from reservoir engineers will be taken into account of modifying the geomodel till it is reasonably match with dynamic data. |
