Abstract | The study examines the structure and the flow of rural credit in the Districts of Nongbua ano Lard—Pro, Nakornsawan, Thailand. It is observed that informal sources of Loans are still prevalent, although institutional sources, with the exception of the cooperatives, have come to take a bold step in rural financing. while PACC loans, especially those on short—term basis, show an increasing trend, a steady rise in commercial bank loan volume can be observed. However, the complex procedure and delay in the PAAC loan extension are reported to many formers, and the commercial banks are round to limit their Loans to Larger farmers. Long-term Loans flow the credit institutions are needed more by farmers, both small and larger, to invest in durable productive assets. Most farmers have adopted, although at different degrees, the new technology. Iit can be predicted that with more intensive supervision service, more productive use or credit can be expected. |
