Abstract | This study provides a comparison of organizational culture, leadership competencies, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job performance between companies in Vietnam and Thailand. The two countries were representative of a developing country, Vietnam and a more economically developed country, Thailand. Two sets of data were collected in 2006 and 2012. T he results showed that there were significant differences between organizational culture dimensions , leadership competencies, job satisfaction, job commitment, and job performance among different companies in Vietnam and Thailand. Companies in Vietnam generally had lower scores compared to companies in Thailand and Vietnam ese and Thai joint venture/international com panies. The relationships between organizational culture and leadership competencies , organizational culture and job satisfaction, organizational culture and organizational commitment with job performance with significant relationships were considered . Employee development orientation had a strong relationship with job performance. Managers should pay attention to this dimension in order to increase employee job performance. There have been positive changes in Vietnamese companies since 2006 because they must compete with other companies in a global, competitive business environment. |
