AbstractIn the process of performing a project from the research phase to the completion of works will experience a very long time, so investors will have to face with so many risks. These risks can come from many different perspectives as by contractors, suppliers of materials, the policy issued by the state, the administration of Project Management Unit (PMU) etc. Overall, the risks in the performance process is inevitable, but PMU can reduce risk by transferring the risk to another party, such as buying insurance, applying management contract to the contractor to reduce the disadvantages that may occur for PMU. The identification of these risks can be conducted right from the start of project by analyzing and evaluating, which help PMU giving measures to reduce the impact of risk that may occur to bring efficiency to the project. The control and risk management will bring specific benefits for PMU such as saving time, limiting the costs incurred to ensure the works are completed in accordance with plans and construction quality is guaranteed. Within the scope of this thesis, the writer will be based on the theory of risk management has been learning to apply the risk management of all construction work in general and apply in practice to carry out the projects of administrative headquarters of Nga Bay town, Hau Giang province in particular. Besides, the detailed analysis of the project performing process from phase compensation for land acquisition, design, construction bidding and project man agement in the construction process will help the author find out the risks that may occur, which will set out the measures to overcome such risks to the management of a building be better
