| Abstract | Arterial Road Network Development is an essential for good and smooth transportation and one of the major factors in infrastructure development. It helps to develop the economy of the countries in the world, especially for the developing countries like Myanmar. Consequently, it is very important to know how to manage and how to implement the “arterial road network” effectively and successfully. In recent years, with the sustainable development of domestic economy in Myanmar, demand on therelated public infrastructure service increases greatly but the supply speed is obviously insufficient. Highway acts as the major transport means in Myanmar, however, due to low grade, poor index and unfavorable driving conditions, it leads to sharp increase of transportation cost and increasingly serious conflict between highway transportation and economic development. That is why, the arterial road network development is very important and crucial for country development. The study objective is to makea comprehensive study demonstration on arterial road network master plan and implementation strategy of Mawlamyine-Ye-Dawei-Myeik-Kawthaung Highway Upgrading and Reconstruction Project, so as to provide construction necessity, technical feasibility and implementation possibility of this project for decision-making of the construction project.Also the main objectives of this paper I have prepared are How to consider the concept of project? Which fields will you be consider concerning in related project? How to data collect and how to analyze? What are your strategies? What problems and challenges do you face? and How to implement it. Thus, I prepare this paper for the reference of the “Mawlamyine-Ye-Dawei-Myeik-Kawthaung Upgrading and Reconstruction Project”, not only for this project but also for similar other road construction project. |
