Series Statement
AbstractPublic Private Partnership (PPP) procurement has developed in many countries, as an effective way for governments to allay their financial burden andi’or improve the efficiencies of public services. However, PPP has also experienced many ups and downs in its applications. As a collaborative venture between public and private sectors, the quality of the relationship between them has been shown to be a key contributor to the success of a PPP project. This thesis has studied the process of one of the pioneer companies under BOT scheme as well as PPP system in Myanmar. While we are using the B.O.T as well as PPP system in Myanmar, it has a lot of strength for the development of Roads, Bridges, Hotels and Deep Seaports sectors and so on. Myanmar government is now relieving the law step by step for getting better to do the B.O.T system by the investors. But it was highlighted during study that there are some barriers such as lack of capacity and equity, poor bankability, budget constraints and instability of economic to speed up the social and economic development of our country. The government also provides the concessional loans to the national investors for the development of the system. Myanmar has a lot of potential on that B.O.T system as well as PPP system. For that matter, Asia World Company is the pioneer company and stayed at the leading role of B.O.T system in Myanmar. So that the PPP model that is done by the Asia World Company is the best model in Myanmar.
