Abstract | The Energy demand of the country Pakistan has been increasing day-by-day for last many years due to a very heavy growth rate of population. Due to severe energy crisis going on in the country for last many years the nation has been facing an extensive load shedding being scheduled by the relevant authorities. This extensive load shedding being faced country wide is resulting in a lot of disturbance in the lives of domestic clients, a continuous decrease in the industrial productions, and putting the worst effects on agricultural productions. All this is ultimately taking the country to face a serious economic crisis. This continuously increasing economic crisis has been forcing the authorities to put more attention and exertion of more struggles for the betterment of power sector. Due to increasing dependency of power sector on natural gas for power generation, Government of Pakistan is not in a position to provide natural gas in the rural villages of Pakistan. Even under the circumstances, it is not possible for the Government to maintain continuous supply of natural gas in the urban areas of country. This results in the extensive load shedding of natural gas in all the sectors including the industrial sector. For this purpose a great importance goes to find out the new energy resources and modern technologies to exploit and utilize them. Biogas is one among the renewable energy resources that can contribute a lot in resolving the energy crisis. Bio Gas being a renewable alternative fuel is produced by breaking down the organic matters by a process of “anaerobic digestion”. This research work is being done to make complete cost and benefit analysis for using biogas in future as the cheapest source of energy by installing biogas plant in rural villages of Pakistan. This research work will be conducted to implement it in a small village of Pakistan named as “WARBURTON” (being taken as an example) |
