Abstract | This project research is about the evaluation of the outcomes of applied Information and Communication Technology (lCT) on public organization focused on the Ministry of Industry Thailand. The research aims to study the potential outcomes after the implementation of the ICT development project which has been deployed with the initial objectives to improve the performance of the internal processes of the organization and ultimately can provide better services to the public and private sector. The main objective of this project research is to evaluate the outcomes of the ICT development project focused on the Ministry of Industry Thailand. The purposes of this study are to evaluate the outcomes and benefits of the ICT development project of the Ministry of Industry after first phase implementation and. to identify the potential problems obstruction and propose recommendations. The project study limits on only the potential outcomes as following; reduce telephone costs, enhance co-operation across departments, accelerate news and information update, enhanced knowledge sharing and Learning in the organization, improve working performance and increased Job Satisfaction. The indicator of the outcome is based on the opinion Mean value scored by the target group who is the user of the ICT system. In order to achieve the project objectives stated above, different methods were used to collect the information. All of the data come mainly from two sources; primary and secondary sources which consist of conducting field survey using questionnaire, interview some key officers, literature review and project information collection. Finally, the study shows that the officers, who are the user of ICT development project, agree with all raised topics which indicate the success of the project according to the user's perspective. In sum, these six potential outcomes in this project study can be summarized and ranked by their importance as the chapter of conclusion and recommendation. |
