AbstractThis project discuss about designing a competitive marketing mix for the company engross in importation and distribution of pharmaceutical products in Cambodian market. The purpose of the project is specifically to understand those that Medico Trading is currently utilizing. After analyzing the industry, the final productivity of this project is to recommend some actions for improvement. Data Sources used for this project includes primary and secondary data. Primary data includes direct interview with the marketing manager, the manager of import and the medical representative. Secondary data includes all that were collected from this company and other sources that were available through different sources. This study emphasizes only on the prescription drugs. The study found that along with the high level of competition, the market size increases significantly, in which imported products occupies 85%. Medico Trading Company that was a pioneering company engaged in importation French product still stands in the leading position with new product strategy of importation and distribution South Korean drugs. Long standing reputation on product quality and service is the main competitive advantage. However, this company also has some weak points. Nevertheless, some alteration and position in place some essential actions allow this company to grasp lot of opportunities.
