Abstract | Wind energy has been brought to the public‘s attention as one of the sources of renewable powerduring the past decade. It has attracted more attention compared with other power sources due to its remarkable economic benefits, such as cheaper cost, greater job creation and regional economic development. Due to the fast-growing nature of the wind energy industry, many companies are entering it fiercely to snatch a bigger slice of the pie. This projectis intended to identify the current technological trends of the wind turbine industry, to analyze the five forces of competition, and finally to findthe factors to reduce the threat of these five forces. |
