Abstract | In recent years, number of foreign patients and medical services have increased tremendously. Although, there are many healthcare operations in Thailand, only handful of them are really enjoy international recognition. The medical tourism in Thailand has been one of the factors contributing to the improvement of the medial products and services. Apart from tourism destination, Thailand has developed and improved major infrastructures to promote variety of businesses including healthcare industry. Bumrungrad has been known for its worldwide recognition and achievement who introduced many of new medical and management technologies to improve organizational performance. The broad analysis of this paper intends to discover the management strategy of a successful healthcare business like Bumrungrad through the mode of technology assessment using data from interview, previous researches and articles. The analysis of this paper found that the technology investment of Bumrungrad is sufficient and align with organizational strategy for competition and growth of the hospital. Nevertheless, the hospital should always be looking for improvement of their services to fully utilize its capacity and explore available opportunities that might prove important in the future. Additionally, This study might be able to serve as a benchmark for other healthcare businesses that want to improve their operations. |
