AbstractMacroeconomic policy of United States is worth talking about. And that is what this report does. Although the topic has been in discussion for a long period of time, it became a hot economic gossip after the United States suffered a severe financial dislocation that was triggered by the housing bubble burst in 2008. America has been the greatest nation of all and still is. But lately, it has been losing its economic prosperity. This paper in reference to Taylor Cowen’s book “The Great Stagnation”, aims to reflect on how America lost its economic prosperity and how it can emerge back as the most powerful nation in the world. In addition, the main aim of the paper is to analyze the macroeconomic policy, focused purposely on fiscal policy, how it went on to become a major fiscal crisis and finally in reference to David Walker’s book “Comeback America” state the fiscal responsibilities of the nation and the citizen to uplift America back.
