Abstract | This paper is about the technology selection criteria in a large-scale construction project. The research is based on a case study of a 5-star luxury hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The scope of the technology selection covered is the Audio, Visual, Lighting and Control systems. The technology selection criteria have been clearly specified for each type of system along with an explanation of selected manufacturers for each system with reasons justifying the selection. Our findings have shown that ease of interfacing components, open standards and dominant design are the most important technology selection criteria. |
