Abstract | In this new era of web one of growing trend in Web 2.0 epitome is a shift in the ways of accessing the information from local, to global and collaborative. While somebody want to store information about web resources so rather storing this information on personal computer or web browser, Information management and access is being move to the web for collaborative discussion and tagging for fast retrieval. Concept of social bookmarking is a new phenomenon and it has capability to provide lot of information about web pages. In social bookmarking systems they contain the user generated meta-data which describe a lot of information about the pages i.e what type of information a web page provides and what it contains. Tagging is also a new concept in which users generally annotate the pages with different tags of their own choice for a particular page for storing the pages of their choice for fast retrieval and searching the information which they found important once. In this study we propose a centralized OpenId based system for social bookmarking in which users can store the pages which they like most. This would enable them to access their useful information from any where without relying on their personal systems and also to avoid the loss of useful resources if local PC corrupted. Proposed system also helps the data portability facility with the most popular website delicious i.e users can get it s meta-data from the delicious website and can also post its data from this system to the delicious website. The system is implemented with a newly concept of OpenId for more secure communication and get rid of m ore than one passwords and user names for using multiple services a cross the web with a single user name and pass word, this concept is know as OpenId. The proposed system can help the users for saving their important documents in a centralized repository. As the current document search engines like google has access to three types of data describing. These include contents in a page, the structure of links in that page and log data about query and clicking of user history. Now in this age a new type of meta-data i.e contents generated by the user like description, tags and Bookmarks. These meta-data describes the information about the page and is annotated by the human beings |
