Abstract | Tourism industry has grown rapidly nowadays. Travel agencies are trying to create the best travel plan for their customers. Traditional travel plan is fixed by travel agencies and may not meet traveler‟s requirement. The current online web services give limited choice of travel planning. This research describes about how to create a travel itinerary using artificial intelligence planning technique. The itinerary should meet traveler‟s requirement, and able to dynamically adapt to changes. One planning technique called Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) is combined with Travelling Salesman Problem to create an efficient, dynamic travel plan. This travel plan can change dynamically whenever an event happens or the traveler wants to change his/her itinerary. The itinerary generation must be fast enough so that it can be implemented in real world. The prototype is built on a web-based service so it can be accessed anywhere, easy to access by the travelers during their travel. |
