Abstract | This research considers the problem of ordinary people to find expert doctor by using common knowledge. Nowadays, there is a gap between ordinary people who use common terms and medical specialists who use technical terms. Moreover, the ordinary people cannot directly access doctor information because data is not open enough. I propose an Expert Doctor Finder system which consists of four main parts including: diagnosis engine, a disease mapping module, a searching module, and Open Doctor. The diagnosis engine can generate interactive questionnaires from diagnosis flowcharts to help ordinary people diagnose symptoms by themselves using common knowledge. The disease mapping module can map diseases in common terms with technical terms based on ICD10 from WHO. The searching module searches doctor information from Open Doctor by matching disease and doctor expertise. It uses Linked Open Data technology to retrieve doctor information. The Open Doctor is a data source which store expert doctor profiles. It embeds RDFa which describes expert doctor and publish SPAR QL endpoint. An Expert Doctor Finder uses web application 2.0 and semantic web technologies. The resulting summaries and evaluation which compare an Expert Doctor System with the current system indicate that the system is useful for ordinary people to find expert doctor information easier, and it allows for more open expert doctor information. |
