Abstract | In the area of job recruitment, the movement is in the direction of online exchange of information about human resources. Nowadays, there are many people widely using job portal for recruiting a set of desired candidates or jobs. However, many unqualified applicants may be generated by online recruitment system as well as it is still difficult to find the best personnel. Furthermore, sharing information across job portals is quiet problematic. For example, people always have to repeat for filling their information to job portals when they would like to use more than one job portal in order to increase their opportunity. Also, applicants’ information still lacks the well-defined meaning. In order to make a well-defined meaning of information, Semantic Web technology strongly is recommended to increase meanings of information, which can enhance matching between requirements and information. Also, it can enable sharing information among web portals. This research presents a new job recruitment system using Semantic Web technology. First, it introduces an information model for representing curriculum vitae by using ontology and exiting well-known standard. Second, the research designs a new business model for a job recruitment system. Finally, the research implements a prototype system based on the proposed business model and evaluate it against other popular online recruitment systems in order to prove the feasibility of the approach. |
