Series Statement
AbstractAn evolution equation for optimal power flow with flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) devices is proposed to minimization the total power losses of transmission line in the power system. The main purpose is that to find the optimal TCSC location on the line of transmission in the system and loss sensitivity index is used to determine the optimal placement of TCSC. The extension programming for the best location of SVC at bus is determined for improving the voltage profile in the system. In this study, t he percentage parameter for lowest power losses of transmission is determined by the optimal placement of TCSC and SVC at bus and on line of the system. Test result indicates that TCSC and SVC can reduce the power loss up to 23.09% leading to efficient utilization of transmission system at increasing twenty percentage loads in IEEE 30 bus system. In this study, the test system is that IEEE 14 and 30 bus for reduction loss of the system.
