Abstract | Green roof is an interesting application that was created long time ago. Many developed countries(such as USA, European countries and Japan)have adopted this technology. There are numerous benefits of green roof such as sound reduction, reduced heat urban effect and storm water runoff. In tropical country like Thailand,can be adopted green roof can be adopted to avoid flooding and reduce heat effect in the city.Since there is lack of such studies in Thailand, this research considers the studies from projects to analyze the appropriate option and barriers.The study has also reviewed few green roof projects that have been done in Thailand. The study has also considered environmental impact to examine the emissions from Extensive and Intensive green roof during production process by using SimaPro software. |
