Series Statement
AbstractThis research was conducted to study the factor that might have an impact on the development of plug-in electric vehicle market in Thailand. As the past information about EVs market in Thailand is very limited, the expert opinion is important to specify the potential factor. In order to identify the factor, the in-depth interview was conducted with the five group of expert; Manufacturer, Academic, Utility provider, Government agency and Consumer. After the in-depth interview, the factor is then identified using SWOT analysis. The factor was later ranked using ANP method. The result of the study shows that the most important factor for the development of EVs market in Thailand in the expert opinion is the Government policy. As Thailand does not have any policy regarding EVs at all, it is expected that the development of the policy to reduce the price and other cost related to EVs would have influence EV market in Thailand. Moreover, the policy regarding charging station should also be developed to accelerate the process.
