Series Statement
AbstractElectric vehicles (EVs) appear to be are mark able new electrical loads for improving the reliability of smart grid. The objective of this study is to explore a supervision scheme based on controlled charging of PEVs in order to assure an optimal power management of the system and subsequently a smoother Load power curve by using Fuzzy logic control. The system mainly consists PEVs operated by a Lithium ion battery safeguarding the charging and discharging operation of these PEVs at residential location and a daily power demanded by household appliances. The purpose of the reviewed strategy is to flatten load power curve by using the fuzzy logic controller and to improve the load factor thereby avoiding the additional grid investment costs and preventing the undesirable impact on the grid due excessive consumption of Electricity during the peak hours. This study uses fuzzy logic control for peak shaving. The simulation results are given in order to explain the efficiency of this power control strategy. The control strategy is designed by considering a certain flexibility in PEV connection time and SOC of the batteries of PEVs.
