Abstract | Key Quality Indicator (KQI) is typically a combination of several KPls that can inform operators and cellular service providers more about the end-user experience and usage patterns. To evaluate the performance of the cellular network quality, to benchmark with the competitive operators or the service providers and to measure the Network Quality of Service (QoS), KQI concept is widely used. Based on the Cellular system's key performance indicator, some service quality indicators are introduced as KQI parameters in cellular system operators, such as Coverage, Network Availability, Interoperability, Network Accessibility, Call Setup Time, Call Retainability and Voice Quality. The existing ranges are not clearly describing about the KQI definitions. The KQI values show discrete non liner functions in the KQI ranges. So the ranges and the KQI definitions are analyzed. Overall KQI calculation is not always perfect in the existing system. Proposed system modifies the overall KQI calculation format to use the continuous linear function. In the proposed system, for the calculation of the overall KQI, the values are calculated in both proposed and the existing system |
