Abstract | An efficient simulation based e-Learning course should provid e users with high-flexibility and attractive learning environment. As a re sult, a simulation based e-Learning course must offer abilities such as allowing students to choose suitable lear ning resources; helping students understand their levels of learning and their learning process clearly; and helping both students and instructors evaluate achievement for each learning resource. In this research, a simulation based e-Learning is developed as an integrated environment in which simulation and e-Learning are integr ated with learning resources. The developed supply chain management e-course was appl ied as a case study. The simulation - Beer Game, facilitates learning process of students and makes it easier for them to control their learning processes. The simu lation based e-Learning cour se is based on the MOODLE framework for e-Learning environments including some modules and activities. To evaluate the influence of simulation on e-l earning activities, an experimental evaluation was conducted on a group of twenty-five student s as learners. The evaluation was based on the difference in student pe rformance between before a nd after playing Beer Game simulation in which quizzes were used as measurement tools. The result indicates that Beer Game simulation can help students impr ove their performance in supply chain management e-Course and has influence on the learners’ positive attitude toward the course. |
