AbstractMany mobile platforms are available these days for the development of various mobile applications for different mobile devices. Using business strategy, developers aim to bring their products to support large number of consumers using different platforms. A possible solution for this problem is the cross-platforms development frameworks that supports development once and deploy everywhere. The objective of this research study is to compare the same mobile applications build on native and cross-platforms based on their performance. The methodology for the comparison includes the development of applications on both native and cross-platforms; perform experiments to test their performance based on user experience in terms of execution time, memory usage and battery consumption and analyze the results obtained from them using mathematical analysis to find the mobile application with higher performance. From the results, we conclude that cross-platforms development frame- works may be good choice for the software development in terms of reduced development cycle and expenses however, they lead company to have trade-off between its pros and the performance of the mobile application
