Abstract | The e-commerce (or electronic - commerce) is now a standard practice to buy all kinds of different products. With a computer and an Internet connection you can buy and sell from home to the entire world. With the emergent and tremendous growth of mobile devices, such as smartphones, a new form of on line commerce has appeared: mobile - commerce better known as m-commerce. Although it is at its beginning as it has become important from just the last couple of years, this little sibling of the e-commerce should not be left by the wayside. A recurrent issue in m-commerce is the usability. This research focus es on the final step of an m - purchase namely the checkout process. Indeed the conversion rate on mobile device is low and can be explain ed by a lack of usability and performance of the checkout process. Besides people are often forced to register to continue the ir purchase and can be discourage d to do so besides the gue st option can be fastidious too. The aim of this research is to understand the needs of the customer in order to refocus on them the checkout process as a guest. The research is divided in three parts. The two first parts are a collection of data and a de ep comprehension of the checkout process and the mobile device s used and to be used. The third part is a user - centered approach of the design of a checkout process as a guest |
