Series Statement
AbstractThe primary objective of this research study is to estimate the production cost for PBRs and OP Rs for crude bio - oil production which makes the difference in the production cost of bio - diesel . The main change in the cost of bio - diesel comes by the algae species and the cultivation system that is used in the production. So, the cost for the algae oil production is been compared in between open raceway ponds and photo bioreactors. The cultivation systems are scaled to harvest equivalent amount of crude bio - oil. CAPEX and OPEX for harvesting and extraction are scaled for the two systems based on essential amount of water and biomass. Cost benefit analysis is done for both the cultivation methods ORP and PBR which compares the cost of construction, cost of machinery, labour cost, chemical cost, and estimation of the cost of production of bio diesel. In my report I am considering the CSIRO the Australian company, where they extracts li quid fuels form micro algae. In this case study the cost of production of algae by open ponds are estimated in phase of production of algae oil.
