Abstract | Potential risk of tunnelling in the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Line 1, passing near to the Opera House was investigated by means of FEM analysis. Ground settlement allowed in this building must not exceed 10mm. Beside the predicted ground settlement effectiveness of soil movement to reduce the ground movement when tunnelling was also investigated ground settlement by empirical methods and numerical analysis with PLAXIS 2D. Jet Cement Grouting is a soil improvement technique which was applied for this project to reduce ground settlement. This study investigated the benefit which were brought by Jet cement |
