Abstract | The ground improvement technique using prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) and Vacuum can accelerate the consolidation process to reduce the construction time and surcharge height. This method was used to prediction settlement for 14.96 ha of Nam Dinh Thermal power plant project ( ND TPP ) , comparison calculation settlement by GI2000 software with Excel spreadsheet and analysis settlement when change condition soil improvement work . The results showed that the total predicted settlement of Nam Dinh soft clay of site study is around 1 . 5 m, consisting of 0.3 m settlement of 2 .5 - m backfilling sand, 1. 19 m settlement due to PVDs and vacuum loading. |
