Series Statement
AbstractThe Black Gold basement reservoir is developed in different tectonic activities and time which make the field become very complicated basement reservoir with different sets of faults/fractures and reservoir properties. Understanding of geology of the fracture basement reservoir is the key point for extended development plan of the basement reservoir. Based on the results of the static data analysis, author would like to construct a 3D fracture geological model, the Halo-ByPass method was proposed, with the Single Porosity and Dual Permeability models. Single Porosity was realized randomly due to distribute heterogeneity of fractures by well L log calculated from Archie's equation. Two kinds of permeability are separated. Primary permeability is based on the Net Macro Fractured zone distribution and DST analysis result while secondary permeability is characterized low permeability and support to secondary flow. The other main task carried out in this study is to recognize the fault system, which is a key issue for naturally fractured zone identification. After calibration, fracture equivalent parameters were up-scaled for use in simulation model. Some recommendations were made in order to improve the fracture model. Geological model will edit and modify till it is reasonably match with dynamic data.
