| Abstract | This research study focuses on the concept of management control in a multinational organization by studying how to have an effective management control system at Valeo, an automotive company that have offices, factories, and research and development centers in more than 29 countries around the world. Drawn on the experience I accumulated through my internship, the information and data collected from the management control department of the Engine Cooling branch, this research study is conducted using a qualitative research method to understand how the management control system at this branch works, as well as how communication affects management control activities. The research study concludes that management control must be adapted in the organizational culture and cannot be separate from the daily operating activities. Communication becomes the key to boost the performance of every organization. Therefore, it is also interesting to look in detail as to how the data communication system and human factors helps build an effective management control process. |
