Abstract | Small and Micro Community Enterprise (SMCE); one significant project of the Thai government, was established with the significant purposes to support the small group of people who were less concerned from the government due to the economic of scale, and to sustain the economic growth by the stability of the community economy. However with the number of the SMCEs has increased continuously, one fourth of them were considered as the unsuccessfulness 1. The research study intends to identify the factors affecting to the success and failure of the SMCEs which can conduce to the effective management approaches for the SMCEs throughout the whole country. With an extensive literature review, the conceptual framework with five issues in term of business management (production, marketing, financing, operation, and HRM) was developed. The research was accomplished based on samples of the SMCEs (successful and unsuccessful) and officials who are responsible for this project with the structure questionnaires and the statistical tool (t-test analysis). Five factors were found to be important determinants of the successfulness of the SMCEs surveyed; motivation, division of work, accountancy, marketing plan, and quality certificate. At the end, research provides the recommendations to the government, officials, and SMCEs to support the SMCEs work successfully. Further the research suggests areas for future researchers |
