AbstractThis study investigates the current practice of payments used by Thai exporters to African market and suggests the best solutions to improve banking and financial system between Thailand and Africa. It gives an overview of international trade payment instruments and trade between Thailand - to - Africa. In addition, it highlights the current practice of payment instruments used by Thai exporters to Africa. It also presents and tests the differences of the perception on transaction cost, time spent, level of risk and procedural complexity. Moreover, it examines the factors that affect the choice of payment instr uments used by Thai exporters to Africa. Finally, our finding will help to suggest recommendations for further improvement on banking and financial infrastructure between Thailand and Africa
