Abstract | Using simple linear regressions model for a panel d ata, this paper investigates the relationship between Oil Consumption Growth and Gross Provincial Product Growth (GPP growth) for the time span 2004-2008 in Thailand. The empirical findings indicate that t here exists p ositive and statistically significant correlation b etween GPP growth and Oil Consumption Growth for Premium gasoline and Diesel. However, the coefficient of Oil Consumption Growth for Regular gasoline is statisti cally insignificant. This indicates that an increase in economic growth directly affects oil co nsumption for Premium gasoline and Diesel. |
