AbstractFor a long time, t here has been an attempt of the businesses to retrieve the used product from consumers back to the manufacturers, either for reuse or proper dis posal. T he retrieval activities for reuse contribute to the second half of Closed - Loop Supply Chain, which is the upcoming trend as people are getting aware of the increasing number of waste that is responsible to the environment degradation and global warming crisis. The recycling of used beverage package is the example of the well - known and pervasive recycling p rogram s founded by the giant aseptic carton manufacturers, Tetra Pak . The initial goal of the se recycling projects was only to show the social responsibility a nd reduce the municipal waste from its product. However, with the extensive R&D, the aseptic carton shows the potential to become more than the budget consuming CSR p rogram s. Consisting of all three dimension s ; society, environment, and business, the rec ycling of aseptic cartons can become the sustainable p roject and the inspiration of closed - loop supply chain for other products. This research studies about the used bevera ge packages recycling in supply chain management aspects. The research aims to investigate the current practice, examine the roles and coordination of each entity involving in the projects, identify the performance progressive possibility, and assess the environmental impact of the recyc ling as well as the benefits to all the stakeholders.
