AbstractThis research studied the motivational factors that trigger the Asia - Pacific citizens to work in engineering consultancy firm in Pathum Thani, Thailand. The in - depth interview with Index International Group’s Assistant Managing Director showed more insight of the industry Human Resource Practices and its occupational tracks. The questionnaire survey was derived from empirical studies from the engineer - related industry. A total of 356 Asia - Pacific citizens did the questionnaires. The study suggested that Asia - Pacific citizens seem to engage moe with the hygiene factors than motivating factors. Recommendations based on the motivation for recruiting and retaining the employees have been provi de that may aid similar companies during their recruitment for Asia - Pacific potential employees
