Abstract | Limes are new crop in Kamphaeng Phet province which this research is study cost and return investment of lime plantation in Mueang Kamphaeng Phet district, Kamphaeng Phet province. The objectives are social economic characteristic of farmers producing lime, financial analysis, supply chain for lime production, support services of the government. The research included a survey of 42 respondents in total which this study is divided by three farm sizes. Financial analysis in this study is divided by three farm sizes, consisting of small size 15 rai, medium size 30 rai and large size 45 rai . The feasibility of lime plantation investment was considered for years 1 to 8. For the three farm sizes, the financial analysis indicates that large farms are the most profitable and get worthy r eturn. The analysis revealed that for large farms which discount rate is 8 percent per year, the net present value (NPV) is 4,756,889.12 baths, the internal rate of return (IRR) is 48.70 percent, the benefit cost ratio (BCR) is 1.571 and payback period (PB ) is 3 Years 4 Months 27 Days. The sensitivity analysis of this study is the sensitivity of the return morn than costs that are decreasing income or delay for production will have an opportunity loss rather than increasing costs . The supply chain for lime production in the study area is similar and different supply chain characteristics. The similar to supply chain, lime farmers of three farm sizes sell lime production to local collectors in lime farm. From local collectors sell lime production to wholesal e market which retailers buy lime production in wholesale market and sell to customer. The different supply chain is small farm size and large farm size. Lime farmers for small farm sizes sell lime production to wholesaler in the province, which retailers buy lime production in there and sell to customer. While large farm sizes sell lime production to wholesale market what there have retailers buying lime production and they sell lime production to the customer . The government is supported and serviced of p roduction for lime farmers in the study area that they have training and document about the planting lime for the quality and quantity of lime product . Lime farmers are receiving money to recover the lime farm from flooding amount 50 baths per lime tree. L ime farmers want to support and service of price and marketing for lime production. |
