Abstract | Thailand is recorded as kitchen of the world, due to continuously increase in export quantity of food products every year. Howe ver, food safety is the issue that Thai exporter must be concerned. Good Agricultural Practice is a choice that they can control agricultural product to reach a safety and quality. Moreover, GAP provides the good agricultural product that avoid chemical re sidue. In addition, this study is aims to study the regulation of GAPs that occurred in Thailand such as Q GAP, Global GAP, and Thai GAP. Also, farmer’s implementation, operating cost and farmer’s income analysis as well as farmer’s constraints are include d. The data are collected from 50 farmers that using purposive s ampling in Kamphaensaen district, Nakhonpathom province. It was found that the comparative study about the regulation can be summarized into three issues that are objective, regulation, and ce rtification. Moreover, Farmer’s implementation under GAPs performed following the regulation. The operating cost of small farmer (one rai of planted are), middle farmer (three rai of planted are), and large farmer farmer (five rai of planted are) were calc ulated 64,554 , 167,993 , 266,080 and baht per year, respectively. In term of farmer’s income, the small farmer received 122,634 baht for their production in 2011 while middle farmer received 367,902 baht and large farmer received 613,170 baht for their produ ction. For the obstacles study, the top three significant problems were price of fertilizer and chemical, epidemic, and pest, which the mean value was 4.4, 4.12, and 3.98, respectively. |
