Abstract | This research aims to explore, integrate a nd utilize existing resour ces, namely weather / climate stations either manual or automatic which is owned by th e local government and private parties and also analy ze the land charact eristics (soil propertie s, land elevation, and slope) of plantations area by su rvey methods. its output are a r eal time agroclimate forcasting on Particular agriculture regions or new areas that will be planned for the development of agriculture regions as an agricultural exte nsion program, and land characteristics of Agricultural farm regions. All climate data can be recorded by the system such as rainfall, temperature, light intensity, humidity, etc. its important for agriculture but the most important climate data are used in planta tions are rainfall and temperat ure. Developed system supports two ways of inputting weather / cl imate station, the first is when the weather stations used are manual, so collectors should use the web interface to input the data. the second is when using automatic weather station with da ta logger, so it can directly in tegrate with the geodatabase by using SMS Gateway or Web Services. The agroclimate fo recasting can be integrated with coffee pests and diseases management system (ICPDMS) by using spatio-temporal analysis with OGC methods, and Fuzzy-SQL Analysis. The features of the ICPDMS such as web mapping, agroclimate forecasti ng and land characteristics for plantation regions as survey parameters, auto generate survey form, visual identification of symptoms , advisory of how to prevent and solving the coffee pests and diseases has been developed. Mo reover, this system allows updating spatial data such as farm region, elevation point, and surv ey point of pests and diseases without touching in programmi ng, just use provided web application . With the early warning application, the pattern of spread of coffee pests and diseases can be monitored properly and can immediately take action to prevent the coffee pe sts and diseases. We intend to develop the prototype a pplication to enable the fa rmers, government and the agronomists/pests scientists better manage an d share the resources. so the contribution of government, agronomists and pests scientists are needed in this system to transfer their knowledge to the farmers. |
