| Abstract | The aim of this study was to Developing Benchmarking Based on Irrigation Performance Indicators: Application in Northeast Thailandby Application of Benchmarking in Irrigation and Drainage systems and Data envelop Analysis.The evaluation of Performance is divided in two groups. Firstly is comparison of performance among 13irrigation schemes based on water allocation system, using Benchmarking in Irrigation and drainage systems. Secondly is measurement of technical efficiency using Data Envelop Analysis (DEA). Moreover three domainsof performance indicators have been used,namely, Service Delivery Performance, Financial Performance and Productivity efficiency. DEA model was used based on input oriented system, using the concept of return variable to the scale. This study is based on secondary data collected from Royal Irrigation department.The results of the research proved thatirrigation schemes under on demand water distribution system have better overall performance than imposed distribution system. Evaluation of technical efficiency, the efficiency DMUs are using adequately the resources to maximize the production, for those inefficient DMUs; have to use DEA model in order to maximize the production while minimizing their resources.
