| Abstract | In order to get success and effectiveness in quality and safety, communication is required the most. However, most accidents and quality defects in works comesas a result of lack of communication. The lack of communication from top managers, between co-workers and from bottom to top management level could damage the whole performance of project. Therefore, it is necessary to have the study on the effects of communication on safety and quality in construction projects. The objective of the study is to investigate the communication process on safety, to investigate the communication process on quality improvement and to compare the communication level between safety and quality.A survey for the study was conducted in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal and targeted on project manager, site engineer of ongoing construction projects. The study indicated the correlation between the communication practices and safety and the correlation between communication practices and quality. And also the comparison between communication level of quality and safety was indicated and expressed through this study. |
