AbstractMany critical success factors have been identified positively and negatively effects on the schedule performance. Only few researches did the test on the moderating effect on the relation in different field of study. This research investigates the links of the schedule management practices, schedule performance and the moderating factors in order to improve the schedule management system and to increase the project performance in construction industry in Myanmar. The purpose of this research is to investigate the moderating factors affecting the relationship between the schedule management practices and schedule performance in construction projects. A questionnaire survey was conducted and responses were received from 40 construction projects. After the survey data has been organized, it has been analyzed to give the recommendation on the research. In this this study,(1) it is analyzed the effect of schedule management practices on schedule performance in order to improve the implementation of schedule management practices in real construction projects and (2) it is investigated the moderating factors which effect on the relation between the schedule management practices and schedule performance. According to the results,it can be recommended that (1) implementing the good Schedule management practices can affect the schedule performance of the project and (2) there are moderators that can affect the relationship between the schedule management practices and schedule performance. Therefore, in order to promote the schedule performance of the construction projects in Myanmar, contractor should consider not only the effect of schedule management practices but also the moderate effect of moderating factors.
