AbstractConstruction Industry is on a path of acquiring innovation to make construction efficient, cost effective and of precise quality. Building Information Modeling(BIM) is a widely accepted methods to integrate construction with the capabilities of Information Technology to bring upon innovation. The current research focuses on the usage of BIM to improve the construction safety management visualization capabilities providing a platform for the Construction Manager to accommodate his existing software for Safety Management. A Construction Safety Management Plugin was built for Autodesk Navisworks to be used with its inbuilt capabilities such as the 4D construction simulation. The Plugin will be effective in working simultaneously with 4D simulations to plot graphs of safety hazards of the considered building model. Furthermore, the user is given the facilities to visualize safety hazards in terms of individual elements of the building. Thus, the user is able to visualize the hazards of the project prior to construction. Moreover, the user is given the privilege to input hazard information to the automatically generated database. The usage of Application Programming Interfaces and integrating multiple software solutions such as Microsoft Excel with Autodesk Navisworks is discussed. The programming languages C# and Visual Basic were used throughout the research.
