Abstract | Increasingly, the service-oriented companies are moving toward the provision of best services setting a new requirement. This study addresses the identification and the investigation of the critical components of the business model that encourage the advantages in doing landscaping business in Myanmar. To achieve the objective of the study, the study used qualitative method by the use of case study concentrating on landscaping service business models from the three different companies. Then the data collection was initiated through preliminary survey followed by the conceptualization. It is continued with the data collection by using the semi-structured case study interviews with the selected respondents from the requested company. In the data analysis, it is conducted by using explanation which all important evidences are described. The result from the study showed that there are key components in terms of business model approach in the landscaping company. And the narrowing the scope of the business model components, there are four main pillars and the practices in operating and using the business model has its key practices which in turn impact on the formation of advantages in doing business. According to the investigation among the components of the business model, the company should be able to classify the customer which can bring the company into lots of advantages. It is also found out that the landscaping company should be able to select the right customers, resources and activities which can bring the company into reducing the costs and with the good outcomes. Besides, when doing the business, maintaining the relationship between the parties that the company is dealing with, various types of practices are learnt from the case study and further, the study can be used to improve the strategic where various types of strategy are applied in practices and these practices can be further used for the innovating or the improving the strategic direction to apply in the landscaping companies in Myanmar. |
