AbstractThis thesis is motivated by the idea that Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) works well with text documents, so why not apply it to images? To support this, the thesis proposes three approaches to applying LDA in an image search result clustering system. Each approach uses different features to cluster image results. The first approach uses basic image features (color and texture information) for clustering. The second approach increases the spatial information available. The last approach combines semantic information of text content with image features. The results from each approach are evaluated and analysed in this thesis.
