AbstractFrom the introduction of Web 2.0, many trends and web services in the Internet World Wide Web have been moving t oward the trends of ‘user - centric’ environment. M any popular web sites such as Facebook.com, YouTube.com, MySpace.com, and Del.icio.us, catches the trend and develop web services that based on ‘user - centric’ environment, and have proved to be very powerful and successful. However, even though the trend i s moving rapidly, this area are still considered as new topic. While there are no popular services that would focus on using social media trends to support web service searching experiences. Looking at the web sites that provide services, or elements on the Internet, such as Flickr.com, and WidgetBox.com, the service provided are based on basic keyword matching algorithm, where they use the input keyword from the users to look for elements that would have information of that input words. Whereas the only use of social tagging are just to helps in basi c searching function, which could be seen as not reaching the potential. A system discovered services that are based on user’s event, and also uses the social tagging is implemented. A mathematical model have been develop ed and implemented, the model are used to find relationship between sets of information . While the system used that information to discover services that would be m atching with the user’s event. The result is evaluated by 52 participants, whic h provide a clear result that services discovered using develop model is better. The model developed can also be use in other field that would require data mining on keyword.
