Abstract | One of the basic activities in landslide mitigation is to generate a landslide susceptibility map which is the main objective of this research. Using appropriate method becomes the key to determine the areas prone to landslide. There the integrated method such as multivariate statistical analysis with GIS was used for assessing the landslide susceptibility in sub districts of Malang. In this study seven spatial parameters were used like, elevation, slope, aspect, flow accumulation, landuse / landcover, geology and soil. Among these parameters three were identified as more susceptible to landslides, which were further used to construct land slide susceptibility map. The final landslide susceptibility map was divided into five classes. The gain statistics was used to predict the accuracy of model, which showed 0.80 accuracy level, that is indication of best fit model. The final output then overlaid with landuse / landcover to predict which landuse class were more susceptible. The result showed that forest and upland food crops are more vulnerable to landslide followed by mixed tree crops and settlements. |
