| Abstract | Bago Township lies close to the Sagaing fault where scientists have forec asted that a large magnitude earthquake could occur there in the near future. As this forecasted earthquake could occur any time, there is an urgent need to better understand the present state of the schools’ earthquake preparedness and readiness so that s uitable recommendations can be made for key stakeholders to adopt (from national, township to school level) to sufficiently prepare the large number of school population in this t ownship against the ir looming earthquake threat .
